Edited Images

I've recently started to edit pictures more than take them.
So I'll be posting picture you've already seen but they will be edited instead.

I have been adding a black bar across the top and bottom and giving a filter I feel suits the image, so the shots from the hospital have a horror movie feel to them, and then most skating photos will have a filter the show the vibrant colours or they will have a grainy look to them.

I also love black and white when it's used right and that's why I love the black and white one at the bottom so much because I think it's been used correctly.

I love this image as I feel the black and white was good to use here, and the black bar I've placed across Seekios face, I feel it's good for an anonymous feel and I will be using it a lot with photos like this if I feel its' necessary.

Skateboarding Continuous Shots

Sorry for the lack of posts over the last few days, and for maybe the next few days, I'll try and post some photography news etc. to keep the posts going as they should be but I haven't been doing shoots as I've been at home doing the written work towards my coursework, over the summer there will be a wide range of different focuses in my shoots, I may even get a job to do with photography to get some experience over the summer too, which will be enjoyable, anyway, I may be going to Cardiff Thursday to get a shoot in, which will be exciting if it's packed, I liked doing the last shoot, it was fun, maybe this time I can focus on the people more, and the interaction or different types of people.

Anyway here's a few pictures of some skating taken the other day in the lovely weather.

FISHEYE LENS SHOTS: SKATING

Recently took the fisheye back out to use, testing out angles to get some nice shots, also starting to record using it too, So I may be uploading clips onto my YouTube channel within the summer, be sure to Subscribe to my YouTube channel beforehand so you can get notified when I start releasing skating videos.

At this point I saw how blurry the people were and knew that I had to put my shutter speed to the max it could, like 1/4000.

After changing the shutter speed the skaters are much more focused, sharper and the image doesn't look bad, the ISO may be up by a lot but I think my camera may handle it well, unless then ISO wasn't all the way up then there we go.

Some people don't like this, but I do, the way the lens flare sort of captures your attention and then points you into the direction of the intended subject, being his shoe.
Of course this wasn't something I focused on getting, it was just random of how it came out.

I love this photo too as it sort of shows some action taking place in two places at once, first of all the skater on the right (Owen) is walking away from where he was, maybe just after failing a trick or something, he is catching my eye with the brightly coloured tee he is wearing and then the lines of the skatepark direct me towards the skater on the left (Rowan) which is taking some huge air up the flatbank.
He is also silhouetted which makes it look much better.

Thanks a lot for viewing my blog and reading it, I want to see if people are enjoying the posts I put, let me know on Twitter or just share the blog if you want, thanks for the support to my local friends that have been sharing too.

Nikon D5 Sample Photos up to ISO 3,276,800

This is Nikon's flagship full-frame DSLR.
The Nikon D5 is for professional photographers and enthusiasts who just have to get the best.
It includes a 20.8 megapixel CMOS sensor, their next-gen 153-point AF system and it's new image quality and detail thanks to its low light capabilities with sensitivity reaching ISO 3,276,800.

So here is the first look at Nikon's new flagship, see how it performs at high sensitivities up to it's maximum ISO of 3,276,800.

Credit to photographer Valentin Morariu who took these photos when having the chance to shoot with this camera.

and finally, 3276800
So as you can see, it does look to be a great solution for low light applications such as sport photography and candid photo-journalism. It looks as though the Nikon D5 will be the best low light camera for now.

In my opinion, the ISO 3200 - ISO 64000 looked really good, excellent compared to many cameras, although the higher ISO levels looked to create very noisy images which aren't very suitable but it's amazing that technology has come so far, and it'll only get better.
